This guide is intended for creators who want to build their own VRM characters using tools such as Blender.

If you are new to character creation, we recommend starting with VRoid Studio instead.

Download the reference VRM files below.

The reference files include one male body and one female body. You can use them as a starting point when creating custom VRM characters.

  • Female Reference Body

VRM_F_Dummy.vrm
10.7MB
  • Male Reference Body

VRM_M_Dummy.vrm
10.9MB

If you want to create your own character, you can modify these files using Blender or other VRM-compatible tools.

The reference VRM files include a bone structure optimized for CineV.

Creating your character using this skeleton helps ensure that the character performs CineV actions and animations correctly.

When uploading a character created from the reference VRM,

select: Scale → Keep Original Scale

Using 'Fit to CineV Scale' may slightly alter the character’s proportions and can cause minor misalignment in some animations.

This preserves the character proportions defined in the reference file.
