If you already have a VRM file, you can upload it directly to CineV.

Continue with the guide below to learn the upload process.

CineV supports VRM-format 3D characters.

Characters that meet the requirements below are available in the Character Swap and 3D Studio character library.

These specifications are recommended for the best results in CineV. Characters outside these ranges may still work, but results may vary.

  • Female

    • Minimum:

    • Recommended: 160–164 cm

    • Maximum:

    • Measured from the top of the head to the feet.

    • Exclude extra elements such as buns, animal ears, accessories, etc.

  • Male

    • Minimum:

    • Recommended: 170–174 cm

    • Maximum

    • Measured from the top of the head to the feet.

    • Exclude extra elements such as buns, animal ears, accessories, etc.

⚠ Characters with proportions that differ significantly from realistic human anatomy (e.g. chibi-style characters with a head-to-body ratio of approximately 6 heads or less) may appear unnatural in animation, alignment, movement, and camera angles.

The following requirements must be met to import and use a character in CineV.

  • File Format: VRM

    • VRM v0.x and v1.x are both supported

  • Max File Size: 200 MB

  • Textures / Materials

    • Unity-compatible materials only

⚠ Semi-transparent materials such as sheer fabrics, glass, and water are imported into CineV as opaque materials. The original transparency may not be preserved.

CineV uses the following engine environment, which may affect rendering and material behavior.

  • Rendering Engine: Unreal Engine 5.7

  • Open My Characters and select Upload Character.

  • Uploaded characters are processed before they can be used.

(Upload modal / processing state images)

1) Character Name

  • Must be English only

  • Maximum length: 20 characters

  • Duplicate names are allowed

2) Gender

  • Select the character’s body type

    • Affects body proportions

    • Cannot be changed after creation

3) Scale

Choose how your character’s size is applied in CineV.

  • Fit to CineV Scale (Recommended)

: Adjusts the character to match CineV’s original character scale.

  • Fully compatible with all interactions and objects

  • Helps animations and motions look more natural

  • Recommended for most characters

  • Keep Original Scale

: Keeps the character’s original height and proportions.

  • Preserves the character’s unique scale

  • Some actions or motions may look unnatural

  • Useful if the character’s original proportions are more important than motion quality

TipFor smoother motion and better interaction, we recommend Fit to CineV Scale.

  • Once the status becomes Ready, the character is available in the Character Swap and 3D Studio character library.

  • You can edit the character name and description later.

⚠ Characters in the Processing state cannot be used for generation or editing.

⚠ If you are already in 3D Studio when the character becomes Ready, the character will not appear immediately. Please exit and re-enter 3D Studio to see the updated character list.

Excessive hair physics or transparency may reduce video quality.

Large accessories or complex decorations may behave unnaturally in Studio.

Characters that differ significantly from CineV’s recommended size may appear misaligned or awkward in motion.
